Exciting stuff

As I might’ve mentioned before, I’m working on a short graphic novel about A Fine Frenzy. I just finished page one today.

All drawn in Photoshop with a tablet. I don’t think I’ve ever spent so much time working on a page! I might’ve gone a bit overboard with detail. :) This is about 25% of it’s actual size.

That’s about all you’re going to get for now. I’m following the Kris Straub school of ’show off less, work more’ ^_^, especially since it’ll be quite a while until this’ll shows up in print.

I’m glad I was able to put in some solid work this week, because I’ll tell you, I was not feeling great last week. My creativity was almost paralyzed, and I did not enjoy it. They were strange times. But with a little help from the guys over at Sugary Serials I managed to turn it around and dump those emotions back into the art. And I like what it produced.

Oh, and in the interest of full disclosure:

I met her! I met her! I met her!

Sweet dreams

This is the original sized art for my webcomic on 8 April 2008. I was pretty awestruck that I actually drew this. To use the old catchphrase: “I didn’t know I had it in me!”. If you want to read my dissemination on the process of making this strip, you can read it here.
